Letters To Beauty Salon

Catherine de Medici by Jean Orieux ...

... a readable biography of the black queen of France.
Beginning with her youth in Italy and the backgrounds of the Medici, leads the reader into Orieux Frances I of France and draws a line over almost the entire 16th Century to Henri IV Since Orieux not strictly historical in the tradional sense, and greater attention to Deatails and backgrounds of the court, the biography makes it even more worth reading, which appear almost metaphorically described people in his stories. Of quotes and sayings, it is not missing. Well-written and translated, for younger readers a little oldfashion because Orieux a French writer, Born in the early 20th century., longer sentences and descriptions is that the younger generation may already be a stranger. So I love it.
